This spring break I traveld to Chicago with my family. While there, we ate a lot of yummy food and saw some amazing architecture. I compiled my favorite things we did. In case you travel there, this can give you some good ideas. At the bottom you will also find some of the articles of clothing I brought with me. It was a lot colder then I am used to, so I was freezing the whole time.
To start off with, lets talk food!
Lunch: Shake Shack (This is just like the In N Out burger joint, except for the east coast.)
Desert: Molly’s Cupcakes, Nutella Cafe (I did not actually make it to either of these places because I was to full, but I did have them both on my list to do EVERYDAY. They are still on my list to go to when I am in New York this summer. )
The Natural History Museum in Chicago has some interesting exhibit, but I would not recommend going unless you have children. I heard from some relatives that the Art Musem is amazing if you have time (4+ hours).
The Architecture Tour is on a boat, it was one of the best “tourist” events I have ever done. It was very educational and a great way to see the city. I highly recommend going.
A must do is to walk along the Lake Front Trail. It gives you a perfect view of the infamous skyline as well as a view of the emerald Lake Michigan
Of course you can not go to Chicago without stopping by the BEAN! This is right across the stress form the Yolk Breakfast restaurant.
