4th of July Pie!!!!

Here’s a yummy 4th of July mini pie recipe.  It’s a fun way to share individual pies with your friends.


Prep time: 15 minutes  Cook Time: 30-40 minutes

Preheat oven to 340 degrees

Ingredients for pie crust

2 cups of flour

2/3 cups of shortening

7 tablespoons of water

a little salt

Directions for pie crust: Mix flours, shortening, salt, and water until dough is formed. Then roll it out on a flat surface.

Ingredients for filling:

3/4 cup of sugar

1/4 cup of cornstarch

1 cup of blackberries

1 cup of raspberries

Directions for filling: put all the ingredients in a glass bowl and cook in the oven for 10 minutes.  Then stir it all together until it’s liquidy. IMG_6279

Now for the pie making! First for the pie grease the cupcake holders.  Shape the pie crust in the holders how you want.  Then pour in the filling.  bake until crust is brown and voila! You have a pie.  It goes perfectly with some homemade ice cream.
